Install
Run the installer on a Windows server/PC that can reach JobBOSS² or the ECI API.

License
Open Settings → License to view your fingerprint and activate your license key.

Configure source
Select On‑Prem SQL or Hosted (ECI) and save. The dashboard UI remains identical.
TV Mode setup (wall display)
Best practice
Most shops connect a small Windows mini‑PC to the TV (HDMI). On that mini‑PC, open a browser and go to:

Can we use the TV’s built-in browser?
Sometimes. If the TV browser supports your internal network and can stay open without sleeping, you can simply type the TV Mode URL.
A mini‑PC is usually more reliable.
Do users need to copy the URL?
Yes. TV Mode is just a URL. Share it internally (email/QR/shortcut) so anyone can open it on a display device.
SQL setup (On‑Prem)
What you need
A read-only SQL login to your JobBOSS² database, plus an ODBC driver installed on the WorkCenterLive server.
In Settings → Data Source → On‑Prem SQL, enter Server, Database, Username, and Password.
How to validate
Use the Test DB button in Settings. If it fails, confirm firewall, SQL authentication, and the driver name matches your installed ODBC driver.
Hosted setup (ECI API)
Do users need to paste Swagger paths?
In most deployments, WorkCenterLive is configured to use standard, known endpoints so customers don’t have to paste paths.
If your build still shows those fields, you can keep them hidden and manage paths in the server config for consistency.
How to validate
Use Test Hosted API. If it fails, verify your Client ID/Secret and that the server can reach the token URL and API base URL.
Licensing
Requesting a key
Go to Settings → License and copy the Machine fingerprint.
Email it to supportwcl@workcenterlive.com and request a trial or renewal key.
Activating a key
Paste your key into Settings → License and click Activate. The footer will show Status and Expires.
